Our mission is to spread hope through beauty. Part of doing this requires community + connection. We invite you to join our studio from anywhere in the world for instruction tailored to your skill level and schedule.

Virtual Mentorship

East Oaks Studio Mentorship Program is designed for students at a variety of skill levels. Instruction will include assigned exercises, input on technique + products, points of improvement with supporting resources, and more.
The Mentorship is booked in 6-month increments with the option to renew.

Private Mentorship sessions with Louis Carr via Restream. Louis will work in Photoshop to provide suggestions and critiques directly onto images of your work.
Recordings of your sessions.
2+ hours of meetings per month. Meetings take place on alternating Tuesdays.
Interim access to instruction/feedback by email.
Access to our complete Atelier Live library for the duration of your study.
What is the cost of the Mentorship?
The program is $400 per month. Payments can be made through Zelle or Paypal.
Do you offer a payment plan?
Payments are made at the beginning of each month.
Can I participate in person?
The mentorship is designed to be virtual to support students all over the world. If local to Raleigh, NC, we invite you to explore our Studio Mentorship.
Is a virtual mentorship effective?
Absolutely! East Oaks Studio started in the digital media + instruction space in 2017, and we’ve grown our competency in production ever since.
Do you offer flexibility in duration or cost?
East Oaks Studio is committed to creating accessible instruction. We offer a variety of instructional videos, workshops, open painting nights, and more to help meet these needs.

Studio Mentorship

Our Studio Mentorship is designed for students at a variety of skill levels.
Sessions include
- Painting from live models and still life’s
- Assigned exercises
- Input on technique + materials
- Points of improvement with supporting resources, and more.
The Mentorship is booked in 6-month increments with the option to renew.
Sessions are held:
- 2x per month
- Cary, North Carolina
- Wednesdays
- 12-3pm

- Studio Mentorship sessions with Louis Carr at our Cary, NC studio.
- 6+ hours of meetings per month, plus additional life drawing sessions.
- Interim access to instruction/feedback by email.
- Intimate instruction setting. Sessions are limited to four students.
- Access to our complete Atelier Live library for the duration of your study.

Studio sessions dates/times will be planned in advance, but vary by month. Please expect Wednesday sessions from 12-3pm. Life drawing sessions take place on Wednesdays from 4-7pm.
